海角社区 — MONTCLAIR, N.J. (January 20, 2025) – is proud to participate in the American Dental Association’s (ADA) Give Kids a Smile® program, offering free dental care for children aged 12 and under on February 7 and February 21, 2025. The program aims to promote dental health and provide essential care to children in need.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), over 40% of children in the United States experience cavities by the time they reach kindergarten, highlighting the urgent need for preventive care and good oral hygiene habits from an early age.
“Good dental hygiene begins at a young age, and building strong habits early can lead to a lifetime of healthier smiles,” said Aneta Wojcik, DDS, director of Mountainside Medical Center’s Division of Dentistry. “The Give Kids a Smile program allows us to address urgent dental needs while educating families on the importance of regular dental care.”
Appointments for the free dental services are required. The Mountainside Dental Department, located on the hospital campus at One Bay Avenue, Montclair, on the third floor, will be hosting this initiative. Families can call (973) 429-6887 for further information and to schedule an appointment.
